Angela Gladwell’s Objects of Affection
Inspired by a photograph of John Brett and his seven children, contemporary painter Angela Gladwell responds to the exhibition Objects of Affection.
Loosely restaging the photograph, Angela has created her own vision of the modern family, using her own family as models. The modern family, however, comprises just three people – with one son playing the parts of four boys and three girls!
Angela will also be exhibiting other works in the Lady Barber Gallery, including portraits of friends, panoramas and beaches scenes, themes that also echo Brett’s work.
