Internationally acclaimed violinist Alina Ibragimova is a former student of the Moscow Gnesin and Yehudi Menuhin schools, and of the Royal College of Music. Recent engagements include her BBC Proms début with the London Symphony Orchestra, and performances with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the Philharmonia, and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Alina was a member of the BBC New Generation Artists Scheme in 2005-7, appearing frequently on BBC Radio 3 and with all the BBC orchestras.

Cédric Tiberghien is a dedicated recitalist and chamber musician: over the 2009/10 season he and Inragimova performed the complete cycle of Beethoven’s violin sonatas at London’s Wigmore Hall, at the Jersey Arts Centre and during a residency at the Aldeburgh Festival. Their first duo recording, of Szymanowski’s complete works for violin and piano, was released in early 2009 to great critical acclaim.
