Join us for a night of French and Bohemian folk fantasy. Immerse yourself in an atmosphere of fairy tales and forest legends from the scary witches of Slavic mythology to the friendly characters of Mother Goose (Ma mère l’oye), via the celebratory dances of the former Czechoslovakia.

Since winning the Kathleen Ferrier Prize, in 2003, Wendy Dawn Thompson has become one of the world’s leading mezzos, appearing at the Edinburgh Festival and BBC Proms and with the New Zealand, Australia, English National and Birmingham Opera. At the end of this concert Colin Timms will step down after thirty years as a conductor of the University Choir.
