New Acquisitions at the Barber Institute
Since 2001, the Barber Institute has acquired more than a dozen new works on paper. These range from a penetrating portrait etching by Van Dyck to a sparkling view of a Chelsea pub by James McNeill Whistler. This display features most of them, including a remarkable group by German artists of the nineteenth century, who are sparsely represented in British collections.
