Highlights on Paper
from the Barber Institute
Founded nearly a century after that of University College London, the Barber Institute’s collection of works on paper bears some striking similarities to its older counterpart. Intended to complement the exhibition Dürer to Spencer: Highlights on Paper from University College London in the main galleries, this exhibition will draw on significant works from the Barber’s print holdings and will be a unique opportunity to make comparisons between the two university collections. The display will feature a variety of subjects and genres by the leading artists of the 15th to 19th centuries, including Rubens, Van Dyck, Wright of Derby, Turner and Whistler.
