The 2008 exhibition Reunited: Gwen John, Mère Poussepin and the Catholic Church was the latest of a series organised by the Barber which took as their starting point a significant work from the collection. The research for the exhibition was undertaken by Professor Ann Sumner, working closely with the National Museum of Wales.
Jack Kerouac: Back on the Road was a highly successful collaboration with the University’s Department of American and Canadian Studies. The manuscript of Kerouac’s novel was shown with maps, photographs and other artefacts to explore the novel’s genesis. The research for the show generated a catalogue and an extensive series of events.
