A programme of new electroacoustic and instrumental pieces by up-and-coming composers at the University of Birmingham, performed by the Summer Festival New Music Ensemble.

Summer Festival Chamber Choir
Singing a variety of well-known choral pieces in a relaxing lunchtime concert, the Chamber Choir will be the first Summer Festival ensemble to perform in the Barber this year.

Summer Festival Sinfonia
The final concert of the 2010 Festival features student conductors, a piece by the winner of this year’s Composition Competition, a dazzling performance by the winner of the Concerto Competition and other works, including a symphony (to be confirmed).

Summer Festival Jazz Orchestra
In association with JabSoc (University Jazz and Blues Society) and MYJO (Midlands Youth Jazz Orchestra).
The Festival Jazz Orchestra will be joined by fellow musicians from JabSoc and the mutli-award-winning MYJO for an evening of jazz, swing and big band classics that should have you tapping your toes all night.
