Water in Art
Water is essential to our survival, enhances our enjoyment of life, facilitates our work and often plays a major role in religion and mythology. Yet, it is equally capable of bringing destruction and even death. Numerous aspects of this paradoxical element are explored through a selection of works drawn from the depths of the Barber's ever-expanding print collection. Artists featured include Dürer, Claude, Rembrandt and Delacroix. This exhibition complements the sea theme of this year’s Family Open Day.
